very long battery life
Bought two sets last year, thinking of buying more. Very impressed with battery life (they use regular D batteries) and weather resistance. On the "low" setting they came on very evening reliably for almost three months before needing battery change, and the low setting is still bright enough to see from 100 feet away. I had them outside where they were sheltered from above (under the roof of a shed) but otherwise exposed to the elements throughout the fall and winter. Note that they are not as realistic looking as some other battery operated candles, but unless you're looking at them at close range, this is hardly a deal breaker if you want great performance.

These candles are so classy looking and really brighten up my patio night after night. And I don't have to worry about them not being able to withstand the summer heat - no wax!
