Bright and Convenient!
We love this light: it provides a lot of light so it's almost like the sun is shining in our garage, it comes on right away when it detects motion and goes off after a few minutes, and it was easy to install. It also only comes on when it's dark enough (if it's bright in the garage already it doesn't turn on, which is nice because it won't waste energy).

Does the job with problems
Mounted it in the garage next to garage door opener. Lights up the garage. Unfortunately, I cannot close the garage door with the car garage door opener while the light is still on. Must interfere. Tried to find an extension to drop the light down some but no luck so far. Extensions are rated for 60 watts, the light is rated for 80 watts.

Bought a second one.
I bought this to use in my basement work area..The lighting is great but the light shuts off too quickly ( as noted ) my mistake..I bought a second one for when I am cleaning out the cellar area but when I am not moving around I will use another light.

These are bright but turn off TOO FAST!
I love how bright these are and bought three. However you will only be happy if all you do is wall though your garage and want light. If you actually do WORK in your garage, these willl not stay on unless you wave your arms around. Too late for me but be aware of this. There should be a timer adjustment setting. Energy efficient is great. But turning of 30nseconds or a minute after activation is ridiculous without a setting.

Will not work if you have a garage door opener. Like most
I wish I had taken the time to read all the reviews. We are NOT the only one with this problem. And we can't return to Sharper Image because we had them for over 60 days. We only put one up and the other is still in the box.

Didn't work
I screwed this into the fixture and it came on for a couple of seconds. Then didn't come on again no matter how much we danced around. If I tapped the LED screen, it would light for mere seconds.

Turned on once then never again.
Replace current bulb and replace with the above, turned on then smelled of electrical heat turned off and never worked again.
