Great Bed
Heated pet beds are very expensive, great deal on this one. I have a large dog, approx. 100 lbs. who is outdoors when we are away. The heated bed provides additional warmth in the garage on those cold windy days. Nice to know the bed only heats wtih the dog's weight. I have no worries about it catching fire, etc. My dog is happy and warm!

great for cats too!
I love this heated dog bed. I bought it to keep 3 cats warm outside; the bed is for indoor and outdoor use. There is also an adapter so that it can be used in a vehicle, which is great for dogs, and the cord is partially covered with metal so pets cannot chew it. The bed is very large and very sturdy. It is also very warm. Apparently, it is activated by the weight of the pet, so it does not stay heated when they are not on it. I covered mine with a blanket to keep it cleaner (even though the cover comes off and is washable), and I can feel the heat through the blanket. But, it is not too hot that pets cannot lay directly on the bed itself. I am very impressed with the design and quality of this bed. It appears to be very safe as well. I searched the internet and could not find anything comparable for the price. Most heated beds half this size cost the same amount. It is worth the investment to keep the furry ones warm during the winter. I cannot keep my cats out of this bed -- they absolutely love it!

Unique within all the heated beds!
The product is safe against burn through and electrocution. It automatically turns off after the pet has left. Could be plushier/softer.

My Sheltie loves the bed
My Sheltie has bad hips and we had another heated bed for her, but the pad was way too thin. The thickeness of this one keeps her off the cold floor and gives her good support, but it seems to be a little hard. When she lies on it it doesn't really give a lot - she weighs about 40 pounds. The heating is perfect, I like the fact that it has a pressure switch to turn it on - so it isn't always heating unless she is lying on it. The outer cover unzips and can be removed to wash, but it really could use a non-slip bottom - we use it in our kitchen and it tends to move around. But, the dog loves it - we see her on it all the time, feet up (hips down) asleep on the mat. Overall I would rate it very well and would recommend this to anyone who has a dog not just one with health issues. Even my little Pom loves it. (I beleive it can be used outside as well and it has a travel adapter for using in a car).
