Totally Anonymous Hand Crank Flashlight
I like to do my homework and research a product before I buy it in a store or online. I did a number of GOOGLE searches trying to find information on this flashlight, but came up empty. There was a Gordon product that looked similar, but used 16 LEDs, rather than a single 5 Watt LED used in the Sharper Image unit. Interestingly, the photo of the Sharper Image light shows, what appear to be, multiple LEDs in its reflector. The Sharper Image flashlight came in a plain white unmarked box. There is no manufacturer's label on the box, on the unit, nor on the single page Instruction Sheet. The same is true for both the AC and DC adapters. As a result, it is difficult to determine a number of important specifications such as the type of battery used, and its brightness in lumens. The initial AC charge requires 20 hours. A red LED "CHARGE" indicator did turn off when the unit was fully charged. I have not used the light long enough to see how many hours a charge will last. None the less, this unit IS BRIGHT!! I've already found it to be very useful in examining the inside of my fireplace, and looking around under the hood of my car; both places are really hard to see using a conventional trouble-light or other light source. A word of caution- Don't look directly into this flashlight! A Dimmer control would have been useful.

Very bright light
Have same flashlight that's probably 6+ years old. After sitting at least a year, to my surprise, lighted up without charging. Great shelf life of battery. Saw light was on sale so bought a 2nd to have in case of power outage.
