Really moves air!
I like that it does not rotate but still moves air all through the room. I got the smaller one because I have less spacious rooms. I use it in rooms that do not have ceiling fans and it lets me set my AC a bit higher.

I rec'd my Tower Fan. Beautiful design, slim and compact. My only complaint is the speed, I wish this was a 4 speed instead of 3 and I have to sit it on my dresser due to the fact my mattress is 18 inches in thickness. Other than that, this fan is perfect for my bedroom. Luv,luv it

Works Great!
I had a great Sharper Image compact fan that you could put on the night stand, and it really cooled down the room. One day it stopped working and I tried to find a replacement. This is the only fan that Sharper Image sells at the moment. It's actually pretty big. It's supposed to sit on the floor and cool down the room, but in my bedroom, it works better if it's up high on a dresser. So it's not hiding in a corner, which is a con. But it sure does work. I love that you can set the timer by remote control, and turn it off early if needed because it is so efficient. It saved me this summer. I hope it lasts a long time.

Great alternative to ceiling fan.
We purchased a house where installation of a ceiling was impractical. This unit is a great alternative to a ceiling fan. It circulates air well throughout the room and generates a relatively small amount of noise. The remote control allows us to shut the fan off if the bedroom becomes too cold during the night. The compact size allows us to locate the fan so that it circulates the air very effectively.
