Heart Rate Monitor and iPhone
I use this HR monitor every day with an iPhone 5 (bluetooth connection) and the iBiker app. I have used it while walking, biking, and stand-up paddle boarding. It has worked flawlessly, even when I fell into the water while paddle boarding. The instructions that come with the monitor are confusing. First, the instructions aren't very clear on how to connect to the device. In the case of the iBiker app, connectivity is through the app, not the iPhone's bluetooth setting. iBiker has a Scoche setting, but that doesn't work with this monitor. I found that it did connect turning on the app's Bluetooth Smart setting. After that, the monitor connected to the iPhone/app and all was good.
