We have slept with a sound machine of one type or another for most of our 52 year marriage. Some have been good; some not so much, but this one is just great. Lots of sound choices and you can put them together and have your own personal concert to soothe you to sleep.

Very nice multi-purpose sleep enhancer
My last Sharper Image sleep sound enhancer lasted 20 years or so; when it failed a couple of months ago I bought a new inexpensive sound machine with 40+ sounds, but they were mostly white noise variations, and you have to laboriously cycle through them to find the one you want. This new Sharper model, however, is both retro and ultra-modern at the same time, so I highly recommend it. Let me explain. You select any of 10 sleep sounds via slider controls, no cycling through a menu via multiple presses. You can mix any sounds you like, for example, "crickets" and "babbling brook." You can have a "loud" brook with "quiet" crickets in the background. And there is an old-style round knob you actually turn to adjust the volume, which is brilliant in the middle of the night as you can reach over and turn it up or down without having to turn on the light and search for those tiny "volume up" and "volume down" buttons. The wireless charging works great with my iPhone 8. The front face of the unit is slanted with a bottom lip, so the phone perches and charges securely. If your phone doesn't support wireless charging, there is an auxiliary USB charging port in the back. The unit runs on USB, or via an AC to USB adapter (included). And it can function as a blue tooth speaker. Downsides (not complaints): I wish one of the sound settings was gentle rain. But the other settings are fine. The sound is not Bose quality. But for the price, it's perfectly adequate for lulling you to sleep. Not perfect, but the best solution I have found so far.

Sleeping well!
Great sound machine with very good sound quality. Love that I am able to mix the sounds to something that suits me specifically. The wireless phone charges is a nice added bonus!
