Talking Atomic Watch

The black leather band on the Talking Atomic Watch fits wrists up to 8 ½”, and both men and women will find this timepiece both attractive and highly useful. Keep it on a nightstand for telling them time without opening your eyes! This unusual watch combines top features such as Atomic Clock accuracy with voiced-time functionality.

• Time is announced at the simple touch of a button

• A second touch of the button gives day of the week and the date

• Hourly chime plus beep alarm

• Great for vision impaired users

• Receives a daily signal from the NIST Atomic Clock in Colorado

• Sets itself and accounts for daylight savings time

• Never set your watch again

• Large 1 1/4” traditional white analog face with bold black numbers and hands

• Stainless steel with black leather band

• Fits wrists up to 8 ½”

• Features include hourly chime (may be turned off) and alarm

• Face with bezel is 1-1/2" diameter x 5/8" D

• Radio-controlled function will work only in the USA (except Alaska and Hawaii), UK, Germany and Japan. When outside these areas, the watch can be set manually to reflect the correct time on the analog face, but the announced time will not be accurately updated

• The watch has long-wave signals, which can go around obstacles such as mountains or buildings. Since no line-of-sight is necessary between the transmitter and receiver, a single very powerful station can cover a huge geographic area

Highlights

Watches all tell time, but do they talk as well? The Talking Atomic Watch is so easy to use, simply push a button and it will announce the time of day. Push the button a second time and this talking watch gives you the day of the week and the date. Is it accurate? Of course – it sets itself daily via signal from the NIST Atomic Clock in Colorado. It even resets itself for daylight savings time. Great for anyone with impaired vision, or anyone who never wants to set a watch again. This watch looks great with its large traditional white analog face and bold black numbers.

Does what I need it to

I mainly bought this just to have a voice tell me the time at night without having to turn on a light or look at something lighted. It works fine; the controls are a little confusing at first but once it's set just one button to get the time.

Nice Watch

I collect watches and I had been looking for a talking watch. When I saw this by Sharpers Image, I figured it was be a good deal. I was disappointed somewhat after receiving the watch it is bulky double the thickness of most watches. That alone keeps it from being a dress watch, because it would catch on long sleeve shirts. The other problem is its volumn, very low and is hard to hear.
