Not virtual reality, but "augmented reality"
Unlike virtual reality, which isolates you from the outside, "augmented reality" combines the real world with an overlay from your phone. The idea is, when you look up at the night sky, the app will fill in the names of the stars and planets, and even draw the constellations, so you can learn more about them. If you have ever wondered whether that big shiny dot is a star or a planet, you will enjoy this device. It takes a few minutes to set up. First, the visor has a customizable foam pad that accommodates different sized phones. Then, you need to calibrate the app so it knows which side is up, down, left, right, etc. But after that, it's very easy and intuitive to use.
