• Connects to TV in one of three different ways:
• Headphone Jack — When using the included 3.5mm audio cable you will only be able to hear audio through the headphones. The internal TV speakers will not function while the 3.5mm audio cable is plugged in.
• Audio Out — Use the included RCA to 3.5mm adapter. Connect the audio out cable directly to the TV (not to the cable box) to ensure all sources can be heard. When the audio out cable is connected to the TV all audio sources will work including the cable box.
• Fiber Optic Cable — If your TV has digital audio output (also called "optical audio” or “TOSLINK”), use the included fiber optic cable.
• Note: Sounds will come out of the TV speakers and headphones if it is hooked up using the red/white RCA cables. If it is hooked up using an aux cable (headphone jack) sounds will not come out of both the TV speakers and the headphones at the same time.
• Note: You can use more than 1 pair of headphones (maximum of 8 headphones) connected with the 2.4 G transmitter base at the same time.

These headphones work great!
We purchased these for my husband who refuses to wear hearing aids but needs the TV volume up so loud I can stand it. The headphones work well, he can hear the tv and they saved our marriage.

I love these headphones
I love these headphones so much, I've bought them three times. They work! My spouse uses the headphones to watch TV which saves my sanity. If any of the pairs die, I'm buying another set.

Excellent product
This is my second pair. I'm 70 percent hearing loss and without these I could not listen to TV programs. The only issue is this second pair does not remain at volume level that was set after placing then removing from the charging stand. Other than that issue these devices are the best I've been able to find.

Purchased Dec 2023. Today is May 13, 2024. Hooked up using optical. I live in nursing home. Everyone leaves their door open; including me. These headphones allow me to listen with volume up. I have partial hearing loss. I like these headphones. I enjoy action movies at high volume, and do not disturb anyone else. Happy with purchase.

I would buy the product again.
I have enjoyed my earphones for over a year, but now the headphones do not work. I had them on, there was a little pop and I cannot get them to charge. The base seems to be working. I had bought a spare set, but cannot get it to charge the headset. I do love these because I do not have to turn the tv so loud! Can you make any suggestions?

This headset is a great performer and great value at the Sharper Image price. Great sound quality and range for those of us who otherwise must use ultra-strong hearing aids. Can be used in addition to hearing aids for convenience. Or, can provide silence for grateful others in the same room. I even wear them in the yard, listening to favorite TV programs, while doing landscape maintenance on my 10,000 sq ft lot. I've used 4 units over 5 years with no issues. I have gifted 6 units to family & they love them too.

Product works well, easy out of the box to set up. But, I wished it had a knob to turn the volume up/down instead of the push buttons. Plus I wished it had a button to push to mute the sound.

4 years of operation and still working
I have been using mine for 4 years now and I use them daily. No operating issues. Can go 2+ movies before needing a charge. I like that I can still roam the house and not miss a word. I would definitely recommend these. I see there is a digital model now. I may have to try them out. I have no negative feedback. The thin covering over the soft plush areas has flaked and worn away but I consider that normal wear and tear.

Purchased for my hearing-impaired-but-stubborn spouse whose abuse of television volume was damaging everyone else's hearing. If you can convince them to use it, it really works. He actually likes it. Just purchased a second one for Grandpa.
