Better than you imagined
We bought this as a gift for our nephew but it's intent was to get him to sleep in his own room. He would complain that monsters were in his room. This was the perfect solution, he could catch them and know they were gone. It adds the benefit of a game and works on hand eye coordination. The controls are a little complicated for a younger child but they get the hang of it quick. Batteries last long and the image is bright and colorful.

Kids and parents having a blast!
