The Pet Air Cleaner with PlasmaWave Technology features three stages of cleaning power to make fresher, cleaner air for your home and family.

• Carbon filter removes cooking and smoke odors, along with larger particles like hair and carpet fibers (carbon filter can be washed every three months and should be replaced every 12 months)
• True HEPA filter captures up to 99.97% of airborne pollutants and allergens as small as 0.3 microns (HEPA filter can be cleaned every 3 months and should be replaced every 12 months)

• HEPA filter has anti-microbial coating, which prevents the growth of microbes and bacteria
• PlasmaWave Technology breaks apart pollutants at a molecular level to neutralize viruses, bacteria, odors and gases while emitting no harmful ozone

Winix PlasmaWave is a very good air purifier.
I use this Winix air purifier in my den and I use the smaller Winix air purifiers I have in my bedroom and kitchen. Keeps the rooms comfortable and keeps them breathe easy with fresh air.

Exceeded Expectations
We have 4 cats and one small dog. We really need a good air purifier. I tried one other model but the filter was too heavy to handle and clean. This Winix is so doable We are so very pleased with it. We finally found the air purifier that is right for us and definitely serves the purpose. I will add the design if very attractive. The HEPA filter is pricey but when we see the job this air purifier does...we will not complain.

Easy to Maintain
Great product. It is easy to maintain. I rinse the first filter every two weeks. Have not had it long enough to rinse the second filter or replace the third filter. I let it run all day, and at night it runs in night mode. The cover is very easy to remove. The controls tell me what it is doing, so when i walk by it I know what is going on with it. The controls are easy to read. I have a few cats that like to run, jump and clime. The product have never fell or closed up (I do keep an eye on it, and check the first filter all the time). Every time I clean the filter I will find another cat. I have Asthma, and I don't have as many attacks, because of this great product.

Life Saver!
I live in North Carolina where the pollen is atrocious, so my husband bought this unit to help. We also have a dog, and I am somewhat allergic, so it has helped tremendously!!! It's small enough to fit in a corner where it is barely noticeable. However, the look is attractive enough to be seen. Really great item, it's definitely worth the money.

Great Purifer
You wouldn't know I had any pets! Runs quiet and really does help keep dust and pet hair from making my house have any odors! Really would recommend it to anyone who needs a purifier and owns animals.

Great Machine & It really works!!
Best air purifier I have ever bought, I've had numerous other machines, but none came close to this one. This has definitely cut down on the dust/dander in my room, which houses two dogs. Really like the auto setting, as it senses odors or dust and kicks the fan speed up to medium or high depending. It really work well too! I would highly recommend this product.

When placed in the right location it makes a difference
Although it's probably best to use for maximum efficiency in a single room I chose to place the product in the hallway accessing most of the house where the traffic is heaviest. I have two parrots that put out sufficient dander and two cats. The four stage filtering system works much better than one with less stages which I also have.
