Cool Idea Great Night Light
Well having a total of 60 chess sets, I just had to order this unigue set. Not really a playable set, but a lovely display set. I use it as a night light. Not so say you couldn't play on it. Just like it as a display set more.

Slightly Disappointed
After first opening this item, it appears to be a great way to play chess or checkers. However upon plugging it in, half of the playing pieces would not light, or were very dimly lit. This product would be even better if it operated on batteries as well as AC and car charger. However I will try another one to see if it works better.

Epic idea, great look, not great finish
The product appears as indicated. It is a neat and interesting idea and we loved the appearance and the travel features such as the adapter and travel case (I didn't even realize it came with these); However, when you use the one button, it emits high frequencies that children, those with above average hearing, and pets can hear!! Our child never wants to use that button - and the instructions don't tell you what ita for! Additionally, the instructions are EXTREMELY limited! Additionally, the pieces have little pins on the bottom That you stick into the board; once you use it enough, they no longer stick. Because of this we nearly returned it but disnt want the hassle. This was NOT a cheap gift to purchase and would have easily been a favorite if the WORKMANSHIP were better. :(

Not so great
Purchased as a gift for my husband. 25% of the pieces did not light up upon inserting them into the game board. Decided to order a second one to replace it. This one also had the same defect. And the majority of the pieces that did light were dim, or did not stay lit. This is a great idea, but there needs to be a change to how the game pieces connect into the board. Very disappointed!
